Principal’s Message

Dear White Oaks Families,
Deepest gratitude to all our teachers, staff, families, and our students for a wonderful fall semester. Our children have learned and grown so much since that first day of school in August. Each school day brings new opportunities for learning, connection, and joy.
As we wrap up 2025, please ensure your children attend school through Thursday, December 18. Every school day counts!
Wishing you and your families a warm and joyful holiday season. May your winter break be filled with rest, connection, and meaningful time with loved ones.
Thank you for making White Oaks such a special place to learn and work!
In community,
Rosina Tong
Principal

Along the way, they master key concepts like sequencing, variables, conditionals, and events. Our WASC-accredited, award-winning program adapts to each student’s pace and skill level, ensuring fun and challenge for beginners and experienced coders alike. After class, parents get links to their child’s creations to share or continue building at home. Mondays at 2:35 p.m. starting Jan 12. Learn more and register at https://signup.findlando.com/

SCEF/PTA News

Register early on our new Read-A-Thon platform, Beanstack. The 6th Annual PTA & SCEF Read-A-Thon is back January 15–29, 2026! This fun, free, district-wide event celebrates reading and raises funds for school programs and our PTA. Register by December 18th to be entered into a special drawing for prizes. For detailed instructions regarding how to create an account and share your personal page, visit the SCEF website at www.scefkids.org/events
Every minute read and every dollar raised helps fund art, music, libraries, assemblies, and community-building programs through SCEF and your PTA. Note that you must “Join the Fundraiser” to earn rewards. Only minutes read between January 15-29 will count toward reading totals.
Can we count on your support?
Consider making a year-end donation to the San Carlos Education Foundation today. Your gift—of any amount—makes a meaningful difference for every student by providing supplemental funding for teachers, staff, and programs that are not possible with state funding alone.
Help ensure a well-rounded, enriching education for all San Carlos students. Donations to SCEF are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. If you haven’t donated this school year, please consider giving before December 31, 2025, as there may be tax advantages to giving early.

Adopting a drain is simple:
1. Visit: www.cityofsancarlos.org/
2. Choose a drain and sign up to adopt it
3. Check on the drain regularly and clean when needed — ideally twice a month or after heavy rain.
By adopting a drain near your home, school, or favorite local business, you and your neighbors can make a real difference in your community.
We're excited to announce these terrific events coming up in January!
