Principals Message

Dear White Oaks Families,

I am delighted to welcome you to the new school year. The teachers and I are eager and excited to embark on a new year filled with growth, discovery, and learning. I’m especially excited to get to know a new school community!

Last week, I attended the administrators’ retreat with Superintendent Frentress and district and school leaders. We connected, discussed the Learner Profile, reviewed data and planned for the year.  I am inspired and motivated to lead with this incredible group of educators.

Sending out a HUGE thanks to the White Oaks Team who are preparing to open our school environment to welcome students.

  • Our custodians, Jesus Muñoz and Felipe Hernandez,  as well as our district maintenance team are making sure White Oaks is clean, tidy, and ready for classes to begin.

  • Our administrative assistant, Annie Stevenson, is making sure that our teachers, staff, parents and I are supported to start off strong!

  • Our PTA Presidents, Aurelia Abcower and Mariel Valezzi and I have met to discuss projects, events, and all things good for kids! I love partnering with parents and can’t wait to do the same with all of you!

  • Our teachers are preparing for our students and I’m so happy to get to know this incredible group of educators. I can tell already in the short time that I’ve been with them that our teachers are stellar.  Their commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive learning environment is invaluable.

Join our PTA Playground Committee! Help Us Make it a Better Space Where All Kids Can Thrive!

We hear you! We've had lots of requests for various improvements in the playground and outside space on campus. Here's your chance to give a little of your time that will have years of impact for our kids! Kids thrive on outdoor play, and this space shapes how they learn, make friends, solve problems, burn energy and grow in so many ways. We're creating a committee to gather ideas and create a proposal for the School District to implement. Sign up here

As this project will likely take some time, we're establishing the committee now so we can hit the ground running next school year. Initial ideas include introducing shade structures, more turf, including sensory play options, better access for physically disabled students, and other enhancements.
