Principals Message

Dear White Oaks Families,

Join the Fun: White Oaks SCEF Read-A-Thon is Here!

Get ready to turn the page on an exciting adventure! The annual SCEF Read-A-Thon is in full swing, and we’re aiming for 100% participation at White Oaks. This free event is a fantastic way to foster a love of reading, support our schools, and rally together as a community.

Why Register?
When your child registers for the Read-A-Thon, they unlock the chance to earn fun prizes by logging their reading minutes and sending pledge requests. Parents, family, and friends can donate to cheer on their young readers, making every page they turn even more impactful. Every dollar raised goes directly to support essential programs in our local public schools—programs that would be drastically reduced without your support of SCEF.

Our School Goals:

  • 100% Participation: Let’s show our White Oaks pride! When we reach over 80% participation, I’ll spend a day dressed as a Banana—yes, you read that right!

  • Weekly Grade Level Challenge: Participation rates will be posted on the office window each week, so keep an eye on the leaderboard!

  • Classroom Rewards: The class with the most reading minutes each week will host our adorable Bookworm Stuffy as a reward for their hard work.

This is a chance for us to celebrate reading, build community spirit, and make a real difference in our schools. Together, let’s aim for 100% participation and keep White Oaks’ love of learning shining bright!

Register today and help us make this year’s Read-A-Thon the best one yet!

Please pre-register here.

Warmly,

Leah Scholer, Principal

School News

Welcome New and Prospective Families!

Welcome to White Oaks School and thank you for your interest in attending our school in the 2024-2025 school year! This year's tour will take place on Wednesday, January 29th from 8:45 a.m - 9:45 a.m. RSVP HERE

Lando at White Oaks Starting in Jan!

Lando Coding & Game Design: Our classes are designed to engage beginning to intermediate coders. Instead of your typical coding puzzles, students learn by creating mini-games. They’ll master key concepts — such as sequencing, variables, conditionals, and events — all while enjoying the process of building games for themselves and their friends. We provide laptops loaded with our distraction-free version of Scratch. Mondays starting Jan 13. $40 per 2 hr class; 1st to 3rd Graders. Sign up at: www.FindLando.com/WhiteOaks

Brown Bags for Hot Lunch

Every Wednesday on minimum days, our students pick up their hot lunches at recess. To make it easy for them to carry their meals—complete with fruit or veggies and milk—we use brown paper lunch bags.

We need your help to keep this program running smoothly! If you're able, please donate a pack of brown paper lunch bags. You can drop them off at the office anytime between now and the end of the school year.

Thank you for supporting our students and this wonderful program!
