Principals Message

Dear White Oaks Families,

This year, we've focused on creating a nurturing and supportive environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to grow. Our teachers have provided personalized instruction to meet each child's needs, fostering a love of learning and helping students develop the confidence to explore new ideas and take on new challenges.

Our students have also made significant strides socially and emotionally. They've learned to navigate friendships, manage their emotions, and support one another in need. These skills are just as important as academic achievements and will help our students become well-rounded, compassionate individuals.

Our theme this year was inspired by the book, Be a Maker by Katey Howes, and wow, were our kids creative problem solvers! The communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills that were used in making this year were bountiful. Students worked through challenges, persevered and shared amazing inventions, creations, and more.

As we celebrate the end of this school year, let's take a moment to acknowledge and appreciate all our students' accomplishments. Let's cheer for their successes, big and small, and encourage them to continue dreaming big. Together, we can help our children recognize their potential and inspire them to reach for the stars.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child's education. Here's to celebrating a year of fabulous growth, and looking forward to many more achievements in the future!

Warmest regards,
Leah Scholer
Principal

Art in Action Feedback

Thank you again to all the wonderful Art-in-Action volunteers who have made the program successful this year! Volunteers are so critical. Unfortunately, we have seen a drop in volunteering this year; we are assessing what the Art-in-Action program will look like for next year. By the month of May, we normally renew the program, but we haven't this year because of projected low volunteer participation. You can help with feedback! Let us know what works and doesn't here.

Thanks!

3rd Grade Families - Arroyo Summer Socials

The Arroyo/Central PTA is planning some optional meetups throughout the summer to bring families together before school starts next fall.

We currently have two summer socials scheduled: Thursday, July 25, a BYO Dinner Picnic at Burton Park with yard games, and Thursday, August 15, the location of which is still to be determined. Grade-specific meetups can also be planned where there is interest. If you would like to receive an email with the final details over the summer, sign up here.
