Principal’s Message
Dear White Oaks Families,
We had an amazing turnout for our Celebration of Learning this past Wednesday. I absolutely loved seeing the smiles of pride on the students' faces as they shared projects with their families. This night always holds a special place in my heart. The culmination of everyone’s hard work is finally presented and it is incredibly rewarding to take a step back and say, “Wow! Look how much we have learned this year!”
I would like to thank Doug Okamoto and his team for organizing the Art in Action Show that took place in the MU during the Celebration of Learning. What fabulous pieces of art our children have created! Our PTA has made it possible for these art lessons to take place in the classrooms and I am so happy we got to celebrate this enriching program.
Sincerely,
Leah Scholer
Principal

Sign Up to Be a Buddy Family for New Families!
As we get closer to summer, we want to encourage families to sign up to be TK/Kinder Family Buddies. This White Oaks tradition pairs current families with incoming TK/Kinder families to help them feel like a part of our community. It is a wonderful resource for new families in case they have questions about school over the summer or at the beginning of the year. First-time families often have jitters, and having a particular person or family to talk to helps a lot.
Please fill out this form by June 7 to sign up to be a Buddy. Reach out to Nandi Byer with any questions.

Rock Band Summer Camp With Hummingbird Music School is Back!
Has your child ever wanted to play in a rock band? Do they want to learn a new instrument? Or do they want to get better at one they already play? We hope they'll join us this summer at Rock Band Camp with Hummingbird Music School!
Campers will be immersed in live music and performance, experiencing what it’s like to be in a rock band with fellow musicians and bandmates! Sign up to learn either guitar, ukulele, bass, drums, keyboard or vocals (or a combination of these). Campers will together form a band, attend daily band rehearsals, participate in music workshops, and perform with their band in a live showcase for family and friends at the end of the week. Bands will be formed on the first day of camp, based on experience level and/or age. Campers can choose to form a band with friends!
Camp will be held throughout June, July and August at Arroyo School in San Carlos. One-week sessions run from Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-3 p.m.. All skill levels are welcome! For more information and to register, click here.
