Principals Message

Dear White Oaks Families,

Our San Carlos School District Caregiver Survey results are in! 126 parents and guardians completed our family survey this school year. In many areas, 90% or more of responses were favorable.

Here are some of the highlights:

  • I agree that White Oaks has adults that really care about their students (97%)

  • I agree that White Oaks keeps me well informed about school activities (98%)

  • I agree that White Oaks staff take parent concerns seriously (93%)

  • I agree that White Oaks promotes academic success for all students (91%)

Areas for Continued Conversations

Family responses also highlighted a need for continued conversations in some areas. We are considering these topics as we set goals and plan budgets for the school year ahead:

  • How we provide instructional materials that reflect all students’ culture, ethnicity, and identity

  • How we ensure support staff are available to students when they need them

  • How we create quality programs for students’ talents, gifts, or special needs

If you would like more information, or to engage in a conversation to review survey results, please contact me.

Don't Forget to Turn in Your Back-to-School Forms!

Dear SCSD Parents and Guardians,

We are gearing up for the 2023-24 school year and are happy to inform you that our online, Back-to-School Student Information Forms are now available to complete your child's registration.

We use a secure online process to gather required student information. We ask you to complete this process as soon as possible but no later than Wednesday, Apr. 26, 2023 (extended time). This will ensure your child's registration is confirmed, that you will receive your child's class assignment or schedule, and that your child's spot at his or her assigned school is not offered to a student on the waitlist.

If your child will not be attending school in the San Carlos School District for 2023-24 school year, we kindly request that you notify your child's school office or send an email as soon as possible. This will help us to keep track of our student enrollment for budgeting purposes and to allow district staff to plan more effectively for the school year.

PLEASE NOTE: Your registration process is not complete and your child will not be allowed to start school in the fall until you submit your Back-to-School Student Information Forms through PowerSchool Enrollment. If you do not have access to a computer, or need assistance, please contact the District Office at (650) 508-7333 or send an email to make arrangements to complete these forms.
