From the Principal

Welcome back, White Oaks families!

I hope you all are ready for the first week of school and a year of learning, growth and wonder. I would like to thank our custodians Jesus Muñoz and Felipe Hernandez as well as our district maintenance team for the outstanding job they have done to make sure White Oaks is ready for classes to begin. We are incredibly appreciative of their work on behalf of our students and staff. I would also like to thank our administrative assistant, Teresa Williams, for the remarkable job she has done to support our teachers, staff, parents and me! Thank you to Amy Kim and Sara Ting, our PTA Presidents, who have worked tirelessly to ensure that our parents and students have a fabulous year ahead. Finally, I would like to thank our amazing teachers for preparing for our students and creating classroom environments that feel so inclusive and welcoming.

Family Support
We want to ensure that our families receive the support they need as we transition back to school. Please visit the SCSD website to access resources such as our lunch program, information regarding health and safety, and after school programs. We also offer Chromebooks to students without devices at home to support at-home learning as needed. We do not currently anticipate a need for at-home devices although students may want one so that they can access Lexia, Raz Kids, and Reflect Math for additional practice at home. If your child does not have access to a device at home and you would like them to have a Chromebook, please reach out to Leah Scholer or Teresa Williams for more information.

Warmly,
Leah Scholer, Principal

Welcome from Your PTA
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at White Oaks. We hope you had a wonderful summer and are looking forward to a fantastic school year! The White Oaks PTA is incredibly grateful to our incomparable teachers and staff for all the hard work they have put into the start of school.

This year, the PTA's goal is to continue to build community and help provide and advocate for a quality, well-rounded education for all our children. We look forward to working with our community this year and are excited for the return of school-wide events and traditions old and new. Whether you are a new or returning family, we hope you will join our PTA, reach out with new ideas, and attend our monthly meetings.

Our first PTA meeting will be Wednesday, September 7 with a social hour at 5 p.m. and meeting at 6 p.m., at Debbie Blucher’s home (1550 Cedar St.). All parents are welcome. Please email us to RSVP.

Finally, feel free to contact us with any questions. We are here for you and cannot wait to partner with you in making this an amazing year for our kids at White Oaks.
