From the Principal
Dear White Oaks Families,
It was a great week back from break. Students continue to engage in core instructional activities in the classroom and are working on collaborative and social skills during recess. We have many parents on-site as campus supervisors who are providing critical supervision. Thank you to all our parents, whether at-home or on-site, for your continued support and engagement in your child’s education.
Parent involvement in a child’s education has been examined in countless studies and reports and the research overwhelmingly supports increased academic achievement, better classroom behavior, and positive teacher morale. As we transition back to on-site teaching and learning, it is important that we continue to partner with you to provide an enriching whole-child learning experience.
Over the next few weeks, there are several opportunities for you to be part of the conversation and give input on priorities for the next year.
Parent Survey
We are in the process of planning for the 2021-2022 school year, and drafting new goals for our Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). In order to be as thorough as possible, we need your feedback and input. Below is a link to a survey, please complete it by April 19th, so that we can include your thoughts into our planning. Please fill out one survey per child. It is important that every family completes the survey so we can hear all feedback from our student population.

Student and Community Testing to Keep our Kids On Campus
Please take advantage of the no cost surveillance COVID-19 testing provided by the San Mateo County Health Department.
Please sign up for weekly testing for yourself and your child. Contact your health provider for a test if you have symptoms or know you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.
Keeping COVID cases off of our campuses will keep our in person learning possible. As a reminder, if a student or or teacher tests positive for COVID, we will need to transition that cohort back to distance learning for at least two weeks to avoid spreading the virus.
Sign up at one of the following locations to begin your regular weekly testing:
- Central Middle School - Thursdays, 1-7pm Register Here
