Get ready for another fun-filled afternoon supporting White Oaks! Our annual Walk-a-Thon and Family Fun Day will be Sunday, October 14. This is our primary PTA fund-raiser of the year. Funds directly support our school, funding classroom materials, Cultural Arts Day, art enrichment, student assemblies, playground upgrades and more! It's CRAZY HAIR DAY on Friday, October 12th! Come one, come all with colored hair, spiked hair, mohawk hair.... anything goes! GET CREATIVE!

Our next PTA meeting takes place this Wednesday, October 10th at 8:45 a.m. in the MU. We will hear an update from our principal Ms. Scholer and the playground committee about the planning process. Other important agenda items include an update from our Walk-a-thon team about our fundraising progress and discussion and voting on possible amendments to our 2018/19 PTA operating budget. Please join us in these important conversations about the programs and events taking place at our school this year. All are welcome! Refreshments will be served.

With the start of a new year it is time to check out the White Oaks gear – including hoodies, T-shirts, hats, tote bags and sports wear.

Reminder that this Wednesday, October 3, 2018 is Walk to School Wednesday! We will be at school to pass out charms to our walkers, scooters and bikers. Look for the balloons to find your charm. We still need a few volunteers to help pass out charms the first Wednesday of each month. We hope you can join us to kick off the new school year with an outdoor Food Truck and Family Movie Night! Bring a picnic dinner or visit Butler's BBQ, El Super Taco Man, and Kona Ice Food Trucks. This year's movie is "The Lion King". Come with blankets, warm clothes and your White Oaks friends and family for a night of fun! Come just for food trucks and play time, or stay for the movie.

Food trucks will start at 5:30 pm, followed by the movie on the lawn at sundown. Please, no wheels on campus. Park your bikes, scooter and skateboards in the bike racks.
