As we get closer to summer, we want to encourage families to sign up to be Kinder Family Buddies. This special White Oaks tradition pairs current families with incoming Kindergarten and TK families to help them feel like a part of the White Oaks community. It has been a fantastic year in the White Oaks library with over 8,000 books checked out this school year! All library books will be due on June 2. Click on the title link above to email Katie Gallagher with any questions.

Join us! The Hometown Days Parade on Laurel Street is on Saturday, May 20 at 9 a.m. The parade leaves from Central Middle School and circles around downtown for all to see and is a highlight of the Hometown Days weekend. White Oaks won first place last year, so we are hoping all families can join in the fun again this year by walking, scootering or biking.

The 52nd Annual Stanford Powwow (the largest student-run powwow in the nation) will take place on the Stanford campus Mother's Day weekend, May 12-13. The event is a celebration of Native American culture, song and dance. Click on the title link above for more info.

Due by FRIDAY, APRIL 28TH! All third graders will receive a traditional White Oaks Promotion T-shirt. The shirts feature the students' names and are worn on the last day of school at the 3rd Grade Clap Out. The planning committee is collecting preferred names and sizes for all of the third graders. Our school dance is Friday, Apr. 28 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the MU. Join us for a carnival-themed and fun-filled evening with a DJ, games, and treats! This event is for current White Oaks students accompanied by a parent. Click on the title link above to RSVP.

On Wednesday, May 17, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m we will have our first ever White Oaks Heritage Day! All White Oaks families are invited and encouraged to share their heritage with students by setting up a table at the fair. You can create a display using pictures, maps, artifacts, books, instruments, bite-sized food items (nut-free), crafts, etc. Click the title link above for more info!
