Principal’s Message

Dear White Oaks Families,

Visitors sign in

A friendly reminder that whenever you come onto campus during school hours (8:25 a.m. –2:30 p.m.), please stop by the office to sign in and pick up a visitor sticker.  Whether you’re volunteering, dropping something off, or visiting for a short time, wearing a visible sticker helps our teachers, staff, and students know that you’ve been approved by the office to be on campus.Thank you for helping us keep White Oaks safe and welcoming.

White Oaks

New Safety Committee

White Oaks has formed a new Safety Committee, bringing together parents and staff to help make arrival and dismissal safer and smoother for everyone.

As we work on improving drop-off and pick-up, please remember that loading zones are for active loading and unloading only. Drivers should remain with their vehicles, and cars should not be parked or left unattended in these areas, particularly in the White Oaks/Cedar cul-de-sac. If you need to walk your child onto campus, please find a legal parking space and be mindful not to block driveways, crosswalks, or other areas needed for safe traffic flow.

In the coming weeks, parent volunteers will also be helping support drop-off and pick-up and keep traffic moving safely. Keep an eye out for volunteer sign-ups if you’d like to help!

Thank you for helping us keep White Oaks safe, accessible, and running smoothly for everyone.

We look forward to our goal setting conferences next week! All students will attend school from 8:25 a.m. – 12:25 p.m. so that teachers can meet with families.

In community,

Rosina Tong

Principal

 Community News

The San Carlos School Board placed Measure K on the November 3rd ballot. It would renew and increase an exisiting parcel tax to preserve the distric'ts ability to fund and retain 24 teaching positions for eight more years.

The cost to local property owners could be $489 a year or $40.75 a month. State funding alone is unable to provide SCSD with sufficient funds to maintain the district’s high-quality education.

Measure K could support the people and programs that directly serve students, including:
• Teachers and staff
• Core academic programs
• Student support services
• High-quality educational programs and learning opportunities
• Maintaining strong instruction across our schools
