Principals Message

Dear White Oaks Families,

We are excited to embark on the Measure H HVAC construction work this summer! After the work is completed, we’ll have heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems to provide an optimal and safe learning and work environment for our school community.

I invite you to attend our upcoming Measure H Groundbreaking Ceremonies on Wednesday, June 3 at 11:00 a.m. at the Green Belt between the Annex and the Library. This project represents a significant investment in the future of our students, schools, and community, and we would be happy to have you join us for this exciting milestone.

The teachers, staff and I have so much to prepare for prior to the HVAC project to start. We have to pack up our classrooms, library, office space and any areas where there are doors and windows. We’ve got a lot of work to do while we finish up the year with our students! But when we return in August, we will be welcomed back to a modernized learning environment with improved safety and accessibility!

I’m excited for our Folk Dance event this coming Wednesday, June 3 at 8:25 a.m. Your children have been learning and practicing a dance to share with the school. We hope you can join us in watching the musical and movement fun!

In community,

Rosina Tong

Principal

 SCEF News

Before you leave for summer — don't delay, donate today.
Your gift to the San Carlos Education Foundation funds the teachers and programs that state funding simply can't cover. Every dollar you give now goes directly to work when students return in the fall.

Give by credit card, check, stock donation, donor advised fund, or workplace giving — whatever works best for you.

Give every month. A recurring donation is one of the most powerful things you can do. Set it up once, and support San Carlos kids all year long. Visit our website to learn about the Many Ways to Give.

A heartfelt thank you to our Emerald Sponsors!
This year, five exceptional organizations stepped forward with landmark investments in our San Carlos public schools: Heckenberg Realty Group, TOWN Restaurant, Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Premia Capital, and Prince Street Properties. Their generosity reflects a shared belief that great schools make great communities.

We are also proud to celebrate the Oracle Foundation for renewing their grant to support STEM education — a commitment that opens new possibilities for the next generation of learners.

Because of partners like these, and your donations, SCEF is able to go beyond what state funding allows — additional educators and programs that students might not otherwise experience. We are truly grateful.

Volunteer to be a Buddy Family!

We'd love to encourage families to sign up to be UTK/Kinder Family Buddies. This cherished White Oaks tradition pairs current families with incoming UTK/Kinder families to help them feel welcomed and connected to our community.

Being a Family Buddy is a wonderful way to support new families by serving as a resource and helping answer questions over the summer and at the start of the school year. Many first-time families feel a bit nervous, and having a friendly family to connect with can make all the difference.

To volunteer, please fill out this form by June 10th!
