Principals Message

Dear White Oaks Families,

It’s been a fun and busy week at White Oaks! With the Hometown Days Parade on Sunday and our Celebration of Learning on Wednesday, we had a wonderful time celebrating our school community and our students’ success. Thank you to all the parents who organized the parade unit! We were proud to don our green gear and shake shiny pom-poms to lively music as we represented White Oaks with spirit and joy.

Our Celebration of Learning was truly special. Teachers and students worked so hard to showcase all they’ve learned throughout the year. Every classroom was buzzing with joy, pride, smiles, stories, artwork, poetry, songs, photo presentations, and so much more. A HUGE thank you to our Art in Action Committee for transforming the Multi-Use Room into a beautiful museum and gallery featuring every student’s artwork. It was an incredible celebration of creativity and growth.

We also enjoyed two assemblies on Wednesday. Sam Drazin shared a powerful message about kindness, inclusion, and embracing both visible and invisible differences through his personal story and experiences. Students were thoughtful and engaged throughout his presentation. We also had the pleasure of watching the Sequoia High School Folklórico Dance Group perform. Students even had the chance to learn some dance steps and join in the fun!

There are only thirteen more days of school left. Let’s finish the year strong!

In community,

Rosina Tong

Principal

SCEF @ Hometown Days
Thanks to everyone who stopped by to hear the middle school musicians perform Friday night and to watch the SCC kids race down the hill on Saturday morning. It was great to see so many students in the parade. Your donations help make programs like these possible.

We love our business sponsors!
As we near the end of the school year, we want to recognize and appreciate the following business sponsors who provided financial support this school year to benefit San Carlos public schools. Please thank them when you do business with them.

All library books due May 29!

All White Oaks library books are due Friday May 29th. Please look for your books early to make sure they are returned on time. This will help ensure that our full collection is available for students to enjoy next year. If you have any questions please email Katie Gallagher at [email protected]. Thank you for your support!

Volunteer to be a Buddy Family!

We'd love to encourage families to sign up to be UTK/Kinder Family Buddies. This cherished White Oaks tradition pairs current families with incoming UTK/Kinder families to help them feel welcomed and connected to our community.

Being a Family Buddy is a wonderful way to support new families by serving as a resource and helping answer questions over the summer and at the start of the school year. Many first-time families feel a bit nervous, and having a friendly family to connect with can make all the difference.

To volunteer, please fill out this form by June 10th!
