White Oaks Weekly – March 25, 2018

From the Principal
Dear Families,

5Cs and the Arts!

Spring is a time for celebrations and student exhibitions of learning at White Oaks. Thanks to our generous PTA, students in all grades benefit from rich experiences with Artists in Residence. Children build creativity, critical thinking, communication and collaboration skills through a variety of enriching opportunities including dance, improvisation, drawing, and painting.

In third grade, students work with professor Eddie Madril to learn about Native American culture. Through stories and activities, students’ eyes are opened to new aspects of culture, history and community. To close their unit of study, students participate in a culminating performance that includes communicating through dance. Thank you, PTA, for helping us bring these memory-making moments of learning to our students at White Oaks.
